Professor Talat Sait Halman, founding chairman of the Bilkent University Department of Turkish Literature and director of the Center for Turkish Literature, has released the first anthology of Turkish love poetry in English.

The U.S.-based Syracuse University has just published the anthology, titled "Nightingales and Pleasure Gardens," which features a selection of poems that include lyrics from ancient Central Asia to present-day Turkey.
