On a more serious note, I can fully understand being depressed enough to kill oneself. But what could drive a person to kill their child? There are very few instances in which this act makes any sense. The only one I can think of is during the Nazi occupation when people sometimes poisoned themselves and their children rather than having them endure the horror of the death camps.
