Current price AUD30.

I don't normally go in for rare books/mss, but Stewart is a sentimental favorite, one of the first poets I read.

Are you going to go for it, Bill?

At 11:31 PM, Blogger Bill Hooker replied:

It's a ridiculous thing to want, but I don't care -- and yes, I just bid on it (or rather, my wife did, as I know nothing about Ebay but she's an old hand).

If I get it, I will try to find out where Stewart's papers are kept -- National Library maybe? -- and ask whether they want it. If they do, I will keep a color photocopy and send them the original. It really does belong in a scholarly collection, I think.

At 11:46 PM, Blogger Bill Hooker replied:

Yup, National Library it is.

At 9:54 PM, Blogger Bill Hooker replied:

Got it! Eee!

Now, I just have to get my hands on it. The seller doesn't have a great reputation, but it was inexpensive enough that I decided to risk it.

Yay! Congratulations! Let's hope the seller follows through with it.
