Funny and sad tribute to lost wife is the Book of the Year:
A DIARY written by one of Wales’ leading poets, chronicling life after his wife’s death in a car crash, was last night named Wales Book of the Year 2008.

Dannie Abse’s The Presence, which has garnered critical acclaim, records his grief and a portrait of a marriage that lasted more than 50 years.
